The consulting firm, through our Virginia Nakagawa, participated in the “Open de Arbitraje”, an event that—in its second edition in our country—took place in Lima, Peru, on October 22 and 23, 2025. The event has consolidated itself as a regional benchmark in commercial and investment arbitration.
This congress stands out for its creative and interdisciplinary approach, combining arbitration, literature, and legal reflection, and exploring the works and ideas of renowned authors such as Mario Vargas Llosa, Julio Cortázar, Gabriel García Márquez, Julio Ramón Ribeyro, and Jorge Luis Borges, among others.
During the second day of the “Open de Arbitraje”, and following its innovative and disruptive format, several highly relevant topics were discussed, including:
(i) Will experts, lawyers, and arbitrators survive the rise of artificial intelligence?
(ii) The conflict and consequences arising from arbitral awards that are neither executed on time nor properly enforced.
(iii) Arbitral awards and literature, similarities and differences, among others.
We extend our recognition to the organizers of this important event for their valuable contribution to the development and strengthening of arbitration in the region.
