Our consulting firm participated in the Conecta Perú event, organized by Conecta Latam, which took place on November 4 and 5, with the participation of the private sector (concessionary companies, suppliers, academia, etc.) and the public sector (OSIPTEL—Supervisory Agency for Private Investment in Telecommunications and the Ministry of Transport and Communications). The event addressed topics from both the traditional Telco sector and the disruptive Digital Transformation sector, which are increasingly merging into a single, challenging, complex, and essential ecosystem.
Virginia Nakagawa, our regulatory consultant, served as moderator of the first-level panel on the opening day of the event. The panelists shared their perspectives on the Peruvian telecommunications market, areas for improvement, the use of artificial intelligence in customer relations, and sustainability (green energy, circular economy), among other topics.
On the second day, Virginia Nakagawa and Beatriz Fernández Espinoza attended the event. During this second session, there were insightful presentations on telecommunications and digital transformation.
Particularly noteworthy were the interventions of the representatives of the Ministry of Transport and Communications and OSIPTEL—Supervisory Agency for Private Investment in Telecommunications—who emphasized the importance of working with “open doors,” listening to all market participants, and fostering a clearly collaborative environment. Without a doubt, it was a valuable opportunity to work for the country’s development and well-being.
