By means of Public Management Secretariat Resolution No. 010-2026-PCM-SGP, published on July 21, 2026, the Public Management Secretariat of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (PCM) approved and issued the “Guidelines for the Ex Post Evaluation of Existing Regulations within the Regulatory Quality Improvement Framework.”
These Guidelines constitute an important methodological framework establishing clearly defined stages for conducting evidence-based ex post evaluations of the regulatory instruments issued by public entities, thereby strengthening the quality, effectiveness, and continuous improvement of the regulatory framework.
We are pleased to share a summary of these guidelines, prepared by María Jose Yuriko Rodríguez Nakagawa and Sofía Coaguila Otálora.
