We are pleased to share our Legal Alert-Insight concerning the following legislative decrees published on 07/02/2026:
a) Legislative Decree No. 1718, which amends Law No. 27336, Law on the Development of the Functions and Powers of the Supervisory Agency for Private Investment in Telecommunications (OSIPTEL), by incorporating Article 35-A in order to ensure the enforceability of resolutions imposing monetary sanctions (fines).
b) Legislative Decree No. 1723, which establishes rules, measures, and/or mechanisms for the proper use of numbering in calls and text messages, as well as their traceability, with the aim of preventing anonymity and illicit communications to the detriment of users of public telecommunications services.
c) Legislative Decree No. 1724, which amends Legislative Decree No. 822, Copyright Law, in order to incorporate provisions regarding exemptions from liability for Internet Access Providers and Digital Service Providers in the digital environment.
